An Update for those who know Glenn and for those who are praying..

Do you remember the chorus to "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow?"

"Many things about tomorrow I don't seem to understand; But I know who holds tomorrow, And I know who holds my hand." This is the kind of peace I am praying for Dawn and Glenn, and the children, in this hard time.

Glenn's biopsy was a week ago, Tuesday, June 23. He was in the trauma unit until Friday evening. It is a malignant brain tumor; he was told that he would be informed yesterday as to what number it is. That didn't happen yesterday; Dawn said, "Another day to pray."  He came home from the hospital late yesterday afternoon. Today Glenn and Dawn went to the neurosurgeon's office to have the stitches removed and he then was informed that the pathologist report shows they are not sure if the cancer is #2 or #3. Because of this, the doctor will send the biopsy to another lab because "the difference between a 2 or a 3 is very subtle and they treat it differently." They now have to wait until next week for that result. I told Dawn (my sister) that I felt weary to know we wait again....I can't imagine how she feels!! Her answer just blessed me. "I had tremendous peace in the doctor's office today as we waited but I had told the Lord (she said this gently) 'You promised me You would give me peace.' "

Why am I surprised?! That is a wonderful answer to all our prayers - Peace! Thank you, once more, for your prayers.

  • You came to mind yesterday & I reminded myself to send you a message soon to let you know that I'm still praying for Dawn & Glenn so I read this update with sadness in my heart yet praise for our God who is granting your sister such a full measure of peace.  I'm so sorry Cordy... my daily prayers will continue to be with them & your family.

  • Thanks Cordy,  We will continue to pray for them.  Peace is the storm is so much a blessing.  The raging storm is so fearful without His peace.

  • We will keep praying!!  There is so much we don't understand, but I am so very thankful that we have a God who does "hold our hand"!

  • May our God of mercy, grace, and peace continue to minister to all your hearts and esp. to your sister and husband.

  • May God continue to blanket them all (you, too) with His peace.

  • Praise God for their response. Certainly, God is giving them added strength. We will keep them in prayer.
    God bless ~E
